SEN Teaching Assistant, Part time (5 half days per week), Permanent, Corby

The Staff Room are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience for this exciting role based in a small village school in Northampton. The role is a part time, permanent position to begin immediately. The successful candidate will be required to work Monday – Thursday (mornings only) and Friday (afternoon only).
Our client school’s pupils are given the opportunity to learn about a range of subjects through an exciting creative curriculum. This provides them with a firm foundation on which to build for their success during their secondary phase of education.

The dedicated Staff team all work closely together to motivate and encourage each child to do well, to celebrate achievements and to develop initiative, independence, self-confidence and a sense of responsibility.

The school believes in the value of home-school partnerships, where children share their homework with interested adults and where the staff regularly share their curriculum intentions with parents and carers. Our client school boasts a warm and friendly atmosphere where parents, carers and the wider community are actively encouraged to become fully involved in school life.

As a Church of England Primary School our client have a close association with the local Parish Church community and pride themselves that their Christian principles and ethos permeates throughout the whole of their daily learning.

The school is now looking to recruit a dedicated SEN teaching assistant to join their staff team. The successful candidate will be working on a one-to-one basis with a child who is on the autistic spectrum.

You must have GCSE English and Maths (C grade or above) or equivalent with at least 3 months relevant experience in this field within the last 24 months.

You must have a minimum of 3 months experience working within a UK Primary School Setting.

You will need to satisfactorily complete all safeguarding checks to include DBS, Children’s barred list check, and professional references.
